Can I use AccessAlly without ActiveCampaign, Infusionsoft or Ontraport Pro?
AccessAlly only works with ActiveCampaign, Infusionsoft, Ontraport Pro, and Ontraport Team. It does not currently integrate with Ontraport Basic. Membership sites can mean different things to different people, but to explain why we built AccessAlly this way you’ll notice that it handles these three things:
1. Access: different members can see different content. This is one of the core strengths of AccessAlly, and it is set up using ActiveCampaign, Infusionsoft, and Ontraport tags for fine control.
2. Client automation: you do not want to be manually generating passwords when hundreds of people are signing up everyday. Client usernames and passwords are securely stored in ActiveCampaign, Infusionsoft, and Ontraport.
3. Triggers: when someone purchases a product, goes through a funnel, or has a payment fail… A follow-up reaction is triggered. This is where Infusionsoft and Ontraport come in, and AccessAlly simply reacts to the triggers by providing access, revoking access, etc. ActiveCampaign does not currently offer payment processing.
Does AccessAlly use Ontraport or Infusionsoft’s shopping cart and order forms as a way for members to pay for content?
Yes and no. You can use the built-in Infusionsoft and Ontraport shopping cart or order forms to sell products and courses, and AccessAlly will be notified of the sales and automatically unlock content and send a welcome login email. If someone has already made a purchase through the Infusionsoft/Ontraport order forms, they can login to your AccessAlly membership site and update their credit card on file and apply payments toward outstanding balances directly.
Once they’re logged in, a member can purchase additional courses without going through a traditional Infusionsoft/Order form. AccessAlly has an advanced 1-click upsell functionality that allows people to purchase directly without entering their credit card details again.
Is it possible to preview some content for non-paid members? Or offer teasers to show what people would get if they upgraded to a paid membership?
Yes! We offer a few different tag-based shortcodes, where you decide what content to display to people who haven’t paid for that content yet. You can use this feature to show a teaser, to give more information about a course, and you can also include the 1-click upsell link so that people can upgrade within that page if they’re ready to go.
What if we have more than just programs? Can we customize the title in the navigation menus to be something like Content and then include a “program” that has all of our archived call recordings?
Yes! AccessAlly’s bonus themes are fully customizable, and you can design your offerings in any format that works for you. You can have programs, courses, kits, and anything else you can imagine. We use AccessAlly to deliver our software products, training products, and even our affiliate section – and it’s easy to customize what each page looks like with Headway Themes or any theme you choose.
Can I use AccessAlly on multiple sites?
One license of AccessAlly is good for one membership site. Ideally, you’d have all of your courses in one members area (which enables cross selling and is easier for your clients to login to one place). However, if you have more than one business or you want to use AccessAlly on different domains, additional site licenses are $59/month each.
Can you tell us more about the AmbitionAlly development team?
Of course! We understand that when you invest in software, you want it to be continuously improved and supported for years to come. The good news is that our AmbitionAlly development team is growing. If I have one program, can I have some content drip-feeding for some people and for other people give the access to all the content?
Yes! You could set up two different ActiveCampaign/Infusionsoft/Ontraport campaigns or put the sequence in one campaign, and just apply a different “kickstart” tag or order process based on how you want the content to be released.
If I want some fancy design how easy will it be to customize my site? Is this something I would need a coder for or would I just need the design elements?
Great question! We offer 4 ready-to-use, pre-styled templates that are compatible with Headway Themes and are ready to be uploaded into your site. Each of these templates can be used as-is, or you’re free to customize them further, using Headway’s Visual Editor, which is pretty user-friendly with a straightforward, drag-and-drop interface.
When styling certain custom features, AccessAlly also includes a live preview that will help you with the design of the login widget, webinar, customer operation button, and a series of profile-related controls.
However, if you wanted to change the entire set up or organization of the layout, then you might want to hire someone for a few hours to get it to look exactly how you want it. Consider hiring one of our AccessAlly savvy AmbitionAlly Certified Partners.
Are members able to handle upgrades / downgrades / cancellations for themselves through AccessAlly?
AccessAlly makes use of ActiveCampaign/Infusionsoft/Ontraport tags to determine access levels, and you can add tags through links on an AccessAlly site. That means that as long as ActiveCampaign/Infusionsoft/Ontraport tags are up to date, AccessAlly will make sure the correct content is displayed for each user. So customers can upgrade, downgrade and make switches inside AccessAlly, you just need to set up the corresponding campaigns in Infusionsoft, ActiveCampaign, or Ontraport to add / remove / switch tags.
What monitoring / chasing happens for monthly subscriptions which are unpaid?
Infusionsoft and Ontraport will detect when a payment fails, and you can set up a campaign sequence that will email your customers letting them know to update their credit card inside your AccessAlly site. They simply click a link, update their credit card details, and they can even process the payment themselves. We do recommend having a few of these follow-up emails since just one email could be overlooked or forgotten.
Is AccessAlly meant to lay over CustomerHub or is it a stand alone application that integrates with Infusionsoft?
AccessAlly is a standalone WordPress plugin that integrates directly with Infusionsoft/Ontraport. You won’t need CustomerHub when you use AccessAlly!
I currently use Infusionsoft and Samcart checkout – is Access Ally compatible with the Samcart shopping cart?
Yes, AccessAlly is compatible with SamCart! All of the “hooks” for AccessAlly are handled within Infusionsoft/Ontraport/ActiveCampaign, so that makes it easy to integrate.
I am considering investing in Infusionsoft/Ontraport very soon, but unsure whether to go for the basic level or the level with eCommerce. I intend on using AccessAlly for my membership site, and delivery of my course content. Can you use AccessAlly with the basic level of Infusionsoft/Ontraport/ActiveCampaign?
AccessAlly can work with all levels of an Infusionsoft account and Ontraport Pro and Ontraport Team. If you are considering an Infusionsoft account, I recommend talking to a certified consultant or one of our Certified Partners, as they might be able to provide set you up at a reduced rate.
1. We’re firm believers of doing things right, so you’re never stuck doing “throw away” work. The beauty of a CRM system is that it automates the delivery process, so as a business owner, you can focus on marketing and creating content. With a simple PayPal button, you might find yourself stuck in fulfilling orders and sending welcome emails in a year or so, and at that time, you might not have the luxury to set up an automated system.
2. The basic level of Infusionsoft should have everything you need to get started. The affiliate aspect is nice, but it is not a “must-have”. The good thing is that you can always add that on when the time and cashflow is right.
What does each module need to have tags?
Inside AccessAlly, we’ve built a course creation Wizard that walks you through this process. AccessAlly will create the tags in Infusionsoft/Ontraport/ActiveCampaign automatically, and apply them to the right pages in WordPress. If you already have tags you want to re-use, you can just select them from your CRMS’s list and automatically apply them that way.
With the credit card updating feature you have, how does that work exactly? Aren’t the credit card details stored within Infusionsoft or Ontraport?
Yes, the details of the credit cards are still stored in Infusionsoft/Ontraport, but we’ve made it possible to update these via AccessAlly. You won’t actually see the full credit card details in the AccessAlly interface, just the last 4 digits so people can see which cards they’ve added. But they can add new cards, and they can process payments on outstanding balances directly. This is awesome, and has saved us a ton of time – because there really wasn’t an integrated way to get people to do this in Infusionsoft/Ontraport before.
I have an existing membership site. How much work will it be to port my individual members over to an AccessAlly membership site?
AccessAlly can automatically create a batch of new users, as long as their information is already inside Infusionsoft, ActiveCamapign, or Ontraport. All you’ll need to do is decide which contacts need a profile, then upload that list to AccessAlly. With a few clicks of the mouse, your new users will be ready to go.
With this feature, you can also opt to keep the same username and passwords for each of the users, which will definitely help to streamline the transition for your existing customers.
