It’s pretty romantic, actually…
Nathalie and Robin met in college at the University of Waterloo, Canada… where they geeked out over bubble tea on their first date one evening.
The date was going well, and the usual “what are you studying” questions came up…
Robin was working on a Double Degree in Mathematics and Business, but had initially wanted to go into programming.
On the other hand, Nathalie was studying Software Engineering, but she knew she wanted to start a business after graduating.
That’s when Robin told her: “You need to go to business school.”
That didn’t sound right to Nathalie (more school?!), so instead she invited Robin to take some of her programming classes for fun…
Then right out of college, Nathalie turned down a job offer on Wall Street to start her company, while Robin entered the management consulting space.
They got married and kept supporting each other’s dreams along the way.
A few short years later, Nathalie’s marketing and training company got so successful that Robin was able to quit his job so he could co-found AmbitionAlly and develop software.
Today both Robin and Nathalie are in their dream roles.
As allies in life and business, they blend marketing and technology, and they have fun doing it, too!
Robin Li is a former financial consultant who has a passion for writing efficient code, and eating fine food. He can dance circles around any math problem, and can pick up new programming languages within days. He is a WordPress plugin writing ninja, and has mastered the ins and outs of marketing platforms like Infusionsoft.
Above all, Robin believes that no problem is impossible to solve, and all solutions should be elegant.
Nathalie Lussier is an award-winning entrepreneur who has been making web sites since she was 12 years old, and graduated with a degree in Software Engineering and a job offer from Wall Street. In a gutsy move, she turned down this job to start her own business right out of college.
Nathalie helps thousands of people all over the world get techy with it, and has been featured in Forbes, Inc., Fast Company, Venture Beat, Mashable, Business Insider, Yahoo! Finance, and Under 30 CEO.
